Canada Driving Test Prep

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 5, 2026

Canada Driving Test Prep does not require an account and does not operate a developer-run cloud account system. Study progress, bookmarks, review history, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. The app uses Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising and privacy-consent management.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Canada Driving Test Prep mobile application (the “App”).

2. Information stored locally on your device

The App stores certain study information locally on your device so the learning experience can work offline. This may include:

This local study data is not uploaded to a developer-operated account or cloud backend by the App.

3. Accounts and personal information

The App does not require user registration or login. We do not ask you to provide your name, home address, phone number, or payment information in order to use the App.

4. Advertising and Google AdMob

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may process information needed to provide, measure, personalize, limit, and protect advertising. Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and Google settings, this information may include:

Google's handling of information is governed by its own policies. You can learn more at Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information for advertising.

5. Consent and privacy choices

The App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage privacy choices where required by applicable law or Google policy. The privacy message shown to you may vary based on your region.

Where the App exposes a privacy-options control, you may use it to review or update available consent choices. Some advertising features may be limited when consent is not available or not granted.

6. Location information

The App does not request precise GPS location for its core driving-test study features. Advertising providers may infer general location from information such as your IP address in order to support ad delivery, compliance, measurement, and fraud prevention.

7. Data sharing

We do not sell your locally stored study history. Information may be processed by third-party service providers used by the App, primarily Google AdMob and related Google advertising/privacy services, according to their own privacy practices.

8. Data retention and deletion

Study data stored by the App remains on your device until it is removed through available app controls, the App's data is cleared through your device settings, or the App is uninstalled. Data processed by Google or other advertising partners is retained according to their respective policies.

9. Children's privacy

The App is intended for people preparing for Canadian driving knowledge tests and is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through an account or developer-operated backend. Advertising and consent services are provided by Google and are subject to Google's policies and applicable legal requirements.

10. Security

We use reasonable measures to keep the App's local data handling limited to its intended study functions. However, no device, software, or internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Third-party links and services

The App may reference government or other external resources. External websites and third-party services operate under their own privacy policies and terms, and we are not responsible for their practices.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, advertising setup, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
